Reconciliation over Revenge – Aziz Abu Sarah & Maoz Inon on loss, dialogue and a shared future

In this episode, I speak with Aziz Abu Sarah and Maoz Inon about their shared journey from loss to reconciliation, their work as Co-CEOs of InterAct International, and why they choose dialogue over retaliation.
Aziz is a Palestinian peace activist whose brother died after being tortured in an Israeli military prison. Maoz is an Israeli entrepreneur and peace activist whose parents were killed in the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Despite their very different experiences, they have built a close personal and political partnership focused on understanding, equality and peace.
In April 2024, they appeared together on the TED stage. In 2026, they published their book The Future Is Peace: A Shared Journey Across the Holy Land, in which they argue that peace begins not with political negotiations, but with encounters, mutual recognition and the willingness to listen to the story of the other side.
